I'd been using Captcha on my site using ColdFusion 8 for some time without any problems. For some reason, still unknown to me the following error began appearing.
coldfusion coldfusion.image.ImageWriter$ImageWritingException
My solution was to add a destination="images/myCapcha.jpg" overwrite="yes" to the <cfimage> tag and I was back in business.
I finally got around to downloading the Amazon Kindle app for my iPhone. Good news i'ts free.
I logged in to my Amazon.com account and started browsing the
"technology" title. I recognized the title "Here comes Everybody". I
couldn't remember, but assumed I'd see the author interviewed on the
Colbert Report. Stephen Colbert has had Malcom Gladwell, Biz Stone,
Larry Lessig, etc pimping their latest books.

Recently, I needed to take a snapshot of a database for my client.
We are setting up a demo site which anyone can access and modify data.
We want the database to reset to it's previous state every 24 hours.
This would remove any garbage records created by potential customers
taking the application for a test drive.
My development machine is running SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition
and I used the "Database Snapshot" feature to create my snapshot, then
scheduled a job to run daily at midnight to reset the database. Works
great. The problem is my client is running the less expensive SQL
Server 2005 Workgroup Edition.

The folks at the FFDM (Flash & Flex Developer Magazine) have gone virtual. They've sent copies of their previous issues. As a ColdFusion and Flex developer I was surprised by how much information in these magazine was new to me.
It's always great to get plugged-in to a new circle of developers. FFDM give me insight into the Flash world.
Keep up the good work guys.
You can download the past issues and see for yourself, then subscribe to the free online edition
Well, not really on the market... yet. It's a pre order from amazon.
I found it interesting the title Foundation ColdFusion 9 for Flash. Could be a sign of things to come. Let's get more Flash, Flex and Designers on board with ColdFusion 9. The latest features like ORM support and tags in Flex 4 that look a lot like ColdFusion tags could be the bridge to bring fresh blood into the ColdFusion Community.
*********** UPDATE ***********
Shortly after this post I was alerted that the book was no longer available from Amazon. I contacted the publisher and just found out the book was cancelled. No reason is known.
What the take away is? We need more ColdFusion 9 books that focus on the many ways CF can be used. ColdFusion 9 and Flex. ColdFusion 9 and AJAX. ColdFusion 9 powered mobile apps.
