Big thanks to Pat Santora for presenting at the Bay Area ColdFusion User Group meeting. He did an excellent job explaining the importance of automating the repetative and mundane tasks that are part of the development workflow. Excellent audience engagement. My two big take aways were that automation removes some of the drudgery with deployements and communication to free up developers so they can focus on developing. It also removes points of failure in the development workflow.
